The largest human organ is the skin. This organ can get sensitive as it is constantly exposed and may be affected by a number of factors, conditions and diseases. These also include Dermatitis, Eczema and Psoriasis.
Psoriasis is a common autoimmune and chronic skin disorder. The common belief attributes psoriasis to genetic components. There are several types of psoriasis; some are classified as pustular psoriasis or nonpustular psoriasis (pustule is a skin elevation containing a purulent substance) and additional types include Guttate Psoriasis Guttate psoriasis is a type of psoriasis that looks like small, salmon-pink drops on the skin. and Nail Psoriasis. The most common type is Plaque Psoriasis.
Dermatitis is the inflammation of the skin. This inflammation may be the result of an allergic reaction of some sort (dermatitis eczema which is characterized by dryness and recurring skin rashes), genetic factors or different health conditions. Dermatitis appears as redness of the skin, swelling and itching.
Plaque Psoriasis is universal, but its frequency varies due to environmental factors (mainly sun exposure) in different regions.
The primary diagnosis of Plaque Psoriasis is derived from the patients' report of itchy, red areas with skin scaling and peeling. Laboratory tests are rarely necessary.
Psoriasis may erupt at any age but 2 peaks have been evidenced – the early onset psoriasis (contains the majority of psoriasis) appears before the age of 40 with a peak at 16-22. And late onset psoriasis appears after the age of 40 with a pick between age 57 and 60. Psoriasis is not contagious.
Psoriasis can be triggered or exacerbated by several causes including: injuries or skin trauma (called the Koebner reaction), sunlight, infection, drugs, smoking and psychogenic/emotional factors.
Similar to Psoriasis, Eczema is also a chronic skin disease causing red, scaly skin rashes (the term Eczema is applied on a variety of skin conditions).

The notion that some diseases can be treated by living or being in a particular climate is familiar. Due to its special climate, the Dead Sea, located in Israel, is one of the most popular locations in the world for psoriasis clinics and for other skin conditions treatments.
The Dead Sea region enjoys a high oxygen content atmosphere. This will benefit people suffering from reduced respiratory function (such as cystic fibrosis).
As a result of its saltiness, the Dead Sea water is contained of low levels of allergens.
The Dead Sea's weather is sunny almost all year long; again this will allow you to sunbath even during the winter.
The Dead Sea provides a relaxed environment. Many other visitors suffer from similar conditions, the good weather and long hours of sunbathing and indulging facilities contribute to reducing psychological stress (often associated with psoriasis).
