A brow lift surgery, also known as a Forehead Lift, is a plastic surgery procedure performed in order to reduce aging signs and achieve a younger look. In a brow lift operation the surgeon will stretch the forehead skin by removing excess skin, fat and muscle from under it.
There are two ways to perform a brow lift surgery, the endoscopy method (with small incisions and a tiny camera) or the conventional incision method. During the conventional brow lift, an incision is made above the hairline, over the ear up to the top of the face. At this point the surgeon removes the excess skin and fat creating the creases in the forehead skin and also muscle tissue if needed. The surgeon will then sew the tightened skin back.
A brow lift recovery is usually quick and done within two weeks. There is no hospitalization time and the patient just has to try and not strain their face muscles for the next few days. The elastic bandage is removed a few days after the surgery.
